James (Jim) Kraatz is a seasoned Christian financial advisor and co-founder of Faith Investment Services, LLC, bringing over three decades of experience in guiding individuals and families toward biblically aligned financial stewardship. His mission is rooted in helping clients—from young couples just starting out to seasoned retirees—integrate their faith and convictions into sound financial strategies through morally responsible investing.
Jim began his career in 1990 with Aid Association for Lutherans, now known as Thrivent Financial, where he cultivated a deep understanding of values-based financial planning. In 1999, he expanded his practice by partnering with Stacy Calder, who joined as an assistant and registered representative. Their shared vision led to the founding of Faith Investment Services, LLC in 2002, a firm dedicated to serving the financial needs of the Christian community with integrity, compassion, and biblical wisdom.
Together, Jim and Stacy have built enduring relationships with their clients—many of whom have become lifelong friends. Today, they are actively mentoring the next generation of advisors to carry forward the legacy of faith-driven financial counsel.
Jim Kraatz holds the Series 6, 7, 24, 51, 63, and 65 securities licenses, underscoring his deep commitment to professional excellence and ethical financial guidance. His credentials reflect a broad and comprehensive understanding of the financial services industry, equipping him to serve clients with integrity and biblical wisdom. In addition to his licensure, Jim previously served as Vice President of the Faith Financial Network, where he actively promoted Christ-centered financial stewardship across the broader advisory community.
Outside of his professional work, Jim finds fulfillment in cultivating his garden and tending to vibrant flower beds during Michigan’s summer months. He is an enthusiastic traveler with a particular fondness for cruises and exploring the diverse landscapes of the United States. A devoted father to Jonathon, Joe (Page), and Jenna (Brandon), Jim also cherishes his role as “Papa” to his grandchildren—Josiah, Amelya, Charlotte, and Emersyn.
He remains actively involved in his local church in Washington, MI, where he sings in the adult choir and occasionally shares his vocal talents at weddings and funerals. These moments of service reflect Jim’s deep commitment to ministry and his desire to bless others through music and faith.
